This Half Term

As always I am very excited about the half term ahead and all the great topics we will be looking at! We have lots of great things to look forward to.

In English we will looking at novels with a theme. We will be reading Gulliver's Travels and discovering his amazing adventure to a mysterious island! We will also be moving onto look at non-chronological reports. We will be looking at the way reports are structured, the different features of these reports and will move on to create our very own non-chronological report.

In maths we will continue to work on our times table probes (I know everyone in Year 4 will work very hard to improve their times!) This half term we will be revisiting our addition and subtraction strategies, as well as looking at area and multiplication. We will also be looking at solving problems involving money.

In science this term we will be continuing to investigate The Digestive System! Year 4 will be looking at how our digestive system works, we will then create our own (very messy!) digestive system. We will then move on to begin to explore different 'Solids, Liquids and Gases'.

It looks like another busy half term ahead for us and I am looking forward to seeing all of Year 4's fantastic hard work!
